Uniting the Circuit: IMX Reschedules Seoul Edition to 2027 and Rallies Global Network in Full Support of the Seoul Music Forum

Every year, landmark music conventions and showcases take place across Shanghai, Seoul, and Tokyo in close calendar proximity. Yet historically, these vital hubs have often operated in geographic isolation, compelling international delegates, independent labels, and emerging artists to navigate fragmented schedules rather than experiencing an integrated regional circuit.

IMX was founded to dismantle these silos. Our core mission has never been defined by any single organization, market border, or standalone event banner. IMX exists to serve a broader purpose: uniting markets, harmonizing schedules, and building enduring bridges between Asian independent music ecosystems and the global stage.

True industry leadership requires putting the health of the collective community above individual brand presence. When community initiatives risk fragmentation, the responsible path is collaboration, consolidation, and mutual support.

To eliminate calendar congestion and avoid dividing delegate attention in South Korea this season, IMX has decided to reschedule its standalone IMX Seoul edition to 2027. This decision provides the runway required to achieve synchronized calendar planning, coordinated travel routes, and unified industry programming across Shanghai, Seoul, and Tokyo for the upcoming year.

For the 2026 season, IMX is proud to direct its full global momentum, international delegation network, and curated industry experts behind the Seoul Music Forum, organized by the Record Label Industry Association of Korea (LIAK).

LIAK has long served as a vital cornerstone for South Korea's independent record labels and sound recording producers. Rather than presenting separate, parallel programming in Seoul that divides delegate attention and domestic resources, IMX believes the international community is best served by standing firmly behind Seoul Music Forum as the singular, unified focal point for Korea during this circuit.

Effective immediately, IMX is actively encouraging all international speakers, trade delegates, artists, and partner organizations who prepared to join IMX in Seoul to direct their full energy, attendance, and participation toward the Seoul Music Forum.

By coordinating our collective efforts and rallying global attention behind established domestic gatherings, we strengthen the bridge connecting Shanghai, Seoul, Tokyo, and beyond. This collaborative approach ensures that international guests experience the absolute best of Korean music and culture in a unified setting, while reinforcing a shared East Asian circuit that benefits creators and companies worldwide.
