At IMX, it has taken shape through multilateral cooperation between industries, accelerator programs connecting music-tech innovators with labels, platforms, and investors, and partnerships formed across a circuit that now spans five cities.
Creative Frontiers
The creative theme gathers artists, producers, and creative executives around the questions that shape how music travels — what translates, what needs rethinking, and where the real opportunities lie across sync, live, and digital. Past editions have brought together discussions on independent artist development, the economics of creator-led labels, AI's evolving role in the creative process, and a recurring strand for artists who are building the industry around them, not just making music within it.

The business of music only works when rights are clear and money flows correctly across borders. This track addresses the structural realities that determine whether international deals actually pay out — licensing frameworks, neighboring rights, multi-territorial structures, and the practical gaps that cost rights holders money every day. Previous editions have brought rights organizations, publishers, and streaming platforms into direct dialogue on both established frameworks and emerging pressure points.
Technology & AI
The tools reshaping music businesses today — from AI and spatial audio to metadata and royalty flows — are moving faster than most organizations can follow. This track cuts through the noise and focuses on what is actually useful now: what the technology does, where it creates real commercial opportunity, and how companies are already putting it to work.
