SHANGHAI, CHINA – The fifth edition of the IMX opens its doors tomorrow, October 22, welcoming the global music community for four days of forums, showcases, and networking until October 25. The conference, centered on the theme “2025 Connection” will take place at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC), Hall N3. The comprehensive program will connect industry experts, innovators, and artists from around the world to foster dialogue and collaboration.

Program Overview

The four-day event is structured around several key pillars:

• Industry Forums (Oct 22-25): 39 forums and special events featuring over 100 global speakers will explore the future of music technology, copyright, and market innovation.
• ‘She Is Also Good’ Sessions (Oct 23-25): A series of daily lunchtime sessions dedicated to the perspectives and work of leading female creators.
• IMXUP Startup Pitch (Oct 24): The conference’s music-tech accelerator will host its final pitch session, connecting top startups with investors.
• Evening Showcases (Oct 23-25): Six official showcases will feature a curated lineup of artists across rock, pop, electronic, and independent music.

Looking Ahead: IMX Tokyo

Following the Shanghai conference, IMX will host its inaugural event in Japan. IMX Tokyo is scheduled for December 5, 2025, at the SHIBUYA STREAM Hall.
